A bit about me...
This will be my fifth year at Haynes Bridge Middle School. I was born and raised in Canada and recieved a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario.
In 1995, my husband's company moved our family to the United States, first sending us to Cary, NC and then here to Alpharetta, Georgia in 1998.
I have 3 boys. Our oldest, Matthew, just graduated from UGA and will be starting his Master's degree at in Economics at Georgia State. Our middle son, Christopher is a junior at UGA and is in pre-med. Our youngest son, Stephen, will be a freshman this year at UGA. Both Chris and Stephen play on the UGA hockey team. GO DAWGS!! A dog, Lyla and two cats, Hooch and Storm, complete the Ritchie household.

What are we going to learn in Science this year?
In 8th Grade, science class will be about Physical Science. We will learn about concepts of physics and concepts of chemisty. Our topics of study will include Lab Safety and Scientific methods, States of Matter, Chemistry, Motion and Forces, Work and Simple Machines, Energy, Sound and Light Waves, Electricity and Magnetism. You will have lots of opportunities to explore these princples with hands on experiments in the lab.

There is a direct link to our Holt Online textbook so you do not have to have your textbook at home to do homework. There is a link for you to contact me with your questions and/or concerns.
